Gather your clean & ready to sell items - fold them neatly in a bag, box or tote. Hangers are acceptable, too.

Don’t forget to include accessories like shoes, belts, purses & wallets. Please do not include intimate apparel such as underwear, socks & bras.

YES, WE BUY SHOES

In fact, shoes are one of our most popular items (it may be because we are so picky). Please do not bring any shoes with signs of wear or that are not clean & odor free.

A buyer will go through your items and make you an offer on the ones that we are interested in purchasing for the store.

We look at trade all day / every day. We are here for your convenience, not ours. We buy clothes until 1 hour prior to closing - 7 days a week.

Please be aware that during peak trade times, we may limit the amount of items you can bring. We recommend calling the store before coming if you have more than 35 items.

We will make you an offer on anything (or everything:) we are interested in buying for the store.

Any items we could not use, we offer feedback on so that you can better understand what we’re looking for next time. You can take your items back or leave them for us to donate to Greater Goods.

Greater Goods is our “clothing by the pound” store. Previously located in Etowah, TN - it opened its Knoxville location in October 2023. It is supplied, in part, through donations made by PX customers & its profits are shared with a local charity.

  • Most of our customers are teen to middle aged men & women, but the brands and styles we carry are attractive to anyone that wears current styles.

  • Our prices are a percentage of original retail, and are increased or decreased based on condition, age, brand recognition, and other factors. We don’t have a set percentage, but it can range from 25%-55% of our retail price.

  • We limit the amount each customer brings to 50 items. This helps us give each customer the attention their trade deserves while simultaneously keeping our staff healthy & fully trained.

  • In short, we buy what we think will sell in our store. You may have some incredible items with the tags still on them, but if they aren’t items we feel our customers are looking for, we will respectfully pass on them. We provide a general checklist of reasons we may have passed on your items with every trade, but feel free to ask the buyer directly for more information.

  • We carry women’s sizes 00-22 and XXS-XXL

    We carry men’s sizes 26-42 and XS-XXXL

  • We buy current and sought after clothing and accessories. Some of the things our buyers look for are:

    1. Brands. Think name brands sold in malls and shopping centers. We also buy designer, one of a kind and vintage items.

    2. Condition.Items should be gently used & clean. We don’t do additional cleaning or repairs, so make sure everything you bring is ready to sell.

    3. Age. Aside from timeless items like khakis and while button downs, most items need to be no more than 3 years old for resale. Items from the year 2000 or older are considered retro / vintage, and are currently desirable.

  • Donated items are sent to Greater Goods where proceeds are shared with Cancer Support Community of East Tennessee.

  • Yes! For brands like Louis Vuitton, Coach, Gucci, just to name a few, we recommend you bring a receipt or authenticity papers to help us correctly identify and price your item.
